About Tiny Trousseaux

I was inspired to learn from my mother's talents after my first daughter was born and I chose to stay at home. Tiny Trousseaux evolved to become a smocking and embroidery line for special occasions with trunk shows held semi-annually. We began to grow our business to include bought smocked specialty lines in patterns such as the john-john and bishop that never go out of style. Since then, we have expanded our pattern sizes and selections that were hand-made and developed our monogram line with appliqués.

My mom, Jane Mixer, has been in the sewing business for over 30 years. Her credentials include teaching nationally for Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA) and Embroidery Guilds of America (EGA) as well as consulting and holding private seminars. Jane is proficient in smocking, French hand sewing, bobbin lace making, and heirloom sewing. Her previous experience has including her own shop The Gathering Place, specializing in smocking. She has also been the producer of smocking plate designs Jane and Ann and created her own line of patterns.

I hope you take a minute to be inspired by our samples. We love to share our ideas and hear yours as well. Each garment is made with your child in mind — whether it is a simple dress for the beach family photo, birthday john-john with your son’s birthday theme appliquéd, or the exquisite Christening gown that you always imagined for the child you wanted for so long to be dedicated back to God. We want to be a part of the memory!

If you buy a garment from Tiny Trousseaux, please send us a picture with your child in it. We love to feature our young friends in our idea book and trunk show advertisements. It is also my belief that children should be allowed to dress up often. You did not spend all that time and money for the outfit to hang in the closet!

My husband flies helicopters and I wanted to design a helicopter outfit for our first son. Now it is my stand-by gift for our Navy helicopter friends.
